snow...Snow...SNOW!!!!

I've been pretty upset with the weather lately, as usual.

Brandon held it's annual Santa Claus parade on November 18th and it was totally lame. It wasn't the parade itself that was lame, it was the parade experience. It's hard enough to get jazzed up for Christmas in the middle of November at the best of times but it really destroys the illusion when you're standing out in the sunshine, the temperature is 8 degrees Celsius and there isn't a sniff of snow to be seen. You see usually our snow arrives anytime from the middle of October to the middle of November. In fact this year we did have a pretty good dump of snow on the ground for Halloween but it all melted away after the first week.

Since Halloween I kept a constant watch on the weather forecast waiting patiently for snow. It seemed that it would never come.

The first thing I heard when I woke up last Sunday morning was Number Two excitedly telling her sisters that there was a whole bunch of snow outside. That woke me up pretty quick. I got up and saw a beautiful blanket of fresh white snow on the ground. Now we're talking! Finally it was looking like winter. Just in time too, we were putting up our Christmas tree that very day.

Since then it has been snowing constantly. When I went to work yesterday I found out that there was a winter storm watch on for us. Yahooo! More Snow! We got pretty close to a foot of snow yesterday. Today the forecast is calling for another 15-30cm of snow for the next 24 hours.

Looks like we're gonna be sledding this weekend!
