Hide and Weak!

This weekend "Number 1" had her 8th Birthday party. It was a swimming party at one of the local hotels. The party lasted for 2 hours, 1 hour of swimming and 1 hour for the kids to get changed, have cake, open presents, etc, etc.

Well after everything was finished we still had a half hour left to kill. What could you possibly do with 9 kids and 3 adults in a small hotel room?

Play Hide-and-Seek of course!

We are talking a single room with 2 double beds a couple of tables and a bathroom. The bathroom was used for "IT" to count.

We had eight kids hiding at a time and I'm pretty sure that there were only 8 possible hiding places. So, when the new "IT" counts the kids just alternate who is hiding in which spot. Here are the ones I remember. 2 kids under the desk. 1 kid beside the desk. 1 kids behind the chair I was sitting in. 1 kid under a small bench. 3 kids at various locations around the skirting of the beds. For any sane person this game would have lost its intrigue after the second round, but not these kids, they kept it up for close to 10 rounds each kid taking a turn at finding which new kid was in which old hiding place.

I'm not complaining, it was more entertaining than anything I would have come up with.
