Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?

Is there a "stupid test" that these contestants have to take in order to get on this show?

There HAS to be!

If these contestants are a true sampling of the American public I think they should be hiding it rather than flaunting their stupidity on national television. What a great premise for a show. Let's get some moron up on the stage. Then we'll ask him some really easy questions and watch him get them wrong. Now that's entertainment!

"Hey world! Check this out! We can't find any American citizens who can complete this game! So far we have been unable to find a single person that is smarter than a fifth grader! Isn't that AWESOME! USA! USA! USA!"

They MUST be taking the stupidest people who apply to be on the show. "Sorry buddy, you got too many answers correct on your application. You don't qualify."

I'm sure there has been a ton of Jeopardy level contestants out there who have tried to get on the show, but I doubt we'll ever see them on the stage. It's too likely that they might win. If this is the case then the show is just plain cruel. You shouldn't exploit people's lack of intelligence for entertainment. Besides they already have a show like that. It's called Wheel of Fortune.

They should have a disclaimer at the beginning that states, "These contestant are not your average Americans, they have been selected after a rigorous test for stupidity." If I were the average American I wouldn't want to be lumped in with these morons.

You Americans are totally proud of yourselves and you love to celebrate your love for your country and all things American. You think you live in the best country in the world. And there's nothing wrong with that! National pride is a great thing!

As a non-American, I'm going to fill you USAers in on a little secret.

The rest of the world thinks that you are all complete idiots. We have this impression that you couldn't even find your own country on a map of the world. We've seen all the stats that show your schools at the bottom of the worlds education heap. You are kind of like the Jocks of the planet. Your big and strong and really good at sports and manual labor but when it comes to brains....well, at least you have sports.

I realize that this is just a misconception. After all America produces some of the greatest minds in the world, but it is shows like "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" that makes the rest of us go, "Man are Americans Stupid!"
